Abstract

A paper presented at the 10th Salon of Critical Thinking, which took place in the Czech city of Litoměřice in 2004. Criticism of British orientalism towards Central European culture in general and Czech culture in particular. A polemic against Jonathan Jones of the Guardian who seemed to be stuck in the pre-1989 era without being able to take into consideration post-communist cultural developments in Central Europe.
