Abstract

Mellow Parenting programmes support the development of good relationships in families in exceptionally difficult circumstances, including parental mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence and child protection problems. Parents with troubled relationships in early childhood, find it difficult to sustain good relationships, including with their own children. Applications in Scotland, Tajikistan and the Maori families in New Zealand demonstrate practical cross-cultural application.
