Abstract

This chapter summarises some of the recent interest in the work relating to the application of metal nitrides in heterogeneous catalysis. Whilst much of this interest has been driven by the possibility that metal nitrides have analogous catalytic properties to precious metals, on surveying the literature it is clear that they offer distinct and interesting performance in a number of different contexts.
