Abstract

We explore the existence of a class of generalised Laplace maps for third order partial differential operators of the form @1@2@3 + a1@2@3 + a2@1@3 + a3@1@2 + a12@3 + a23@1 + a13@2 + a123 and related first order 3 systems and show that they require the satisfaction of constraints on the invariants for such operators.
