Abstract
Jan Čulík interviews the French historian Muriel Blaive about the development of civic society in France and in the nations of Western Europe, in comparison to what has been happening in Central and Eastern Europe and about the reasons for the existence of intense racism, xenophobia and islamophobia in Central and Eastern Europe.
