Abstract

In the 9th issue of News from the Biological Stain Commission (BSC), under the heading of Regulatory affairs, the Biological Stain Commission’s International Affairs Committee will present further information from the meeting held in Ghent, Belgium by the International Standards Organization ISO/TC 212 Clinical Laboratory Testing and in Vitro Diagnostic Test Systems on 15-17 June 2009 and from two of its Working Groups: WG 1, Quality and Competence in the Medical Laboratory and WG 3, In Vitro Diagnostic Products on 15-16 June 2009. In addition, a meeting of CEN/TC 140 In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices held in Brussels, Belgium, on 18 June 2009 will be covered. A note on hair dyes and their toxicity by RW Horobin concludes this edition of News from the Biological Stain Commission.
