Abstract

The first ever comprehensive overview of Scotland's Early Neolithic cursus enclosures, which combines date from excavations, cropmarks and phenomenology in an innovative manner. The role of the timber and earthen cursus monuments are explored, including the relationship between the two, and the origins of the cursus phenomenon are explored.
