Abstract

A “shotgun lipidomic LC−MS approach” was developed by the use of high resolution and exact mass. A total of 284 lipids were identified in human plasma. The method was validated with five nonendogenous lipids, the linearity (r2 > 0.994) and the intraday and interday repeatability (RSD, 4.3−6.2% and 4.8−8%, respectively) were satisfactory. The developed lipid profiling method was applied for the analysis of plasma from humans suffering from osteoarthritis (OA).
