Abstract
Despite all the changes to out of hours provision guidelines, the aim of these services has always be to meet patients' needs during an emergency, affordably and in a timely manner. Gerald McLauchlan outlines the practicalities of setting up a successful out of hours service that puts client satisfaction and animal welfare first.
