Abstract
This paper presents preliminary results of a project on the integration of web supported data mining techniques with fuzzy logic and neural networks to support decision-making and improve product development processes. The integrated environment is based on CORBA and used a modular structure. The system is particularly appropriate for sustainable product design, which takes account of environmental and social impacts in addition to technical, reliability and cost factors.
