Abstract
Commissioned contribution outlining the aims of the project 'Student teachers using music education to integrate new arrivals' (2014-2016). The study received £10,000 from the Chancellor's Fund to investigate the use of music education as a tool to integrate new arrivals in schools hosting children from other countries. The project involves BEd (Music) students in developing activities, data collection and analysis to identify good practice and enhance understanding of the impact of such activities. Includes quotations from the PI and a photograph.
